The most comprehensive, supportive and
transformative group program for Women Physicians
Many women physicians are stressed, struggling, feeling stuck or even a little burned out.Â
They appear accomplished and successful on the outside but are just not enjoying things on the inside.
It’s one thing to be a physician. It’s another thing to know HOW to actually do it in a way that is sustainable, joyful and rewarding.
The truth is, it’s entirely possible to love your life in and outside of Medicine.
We are smart, accomplished, service-oriented women who do hard things. It’s not too much to expect to enjoy the life we have worked so hard to create. We can do this too.
The problem is what got us here is not going to get us there. We’ve never been taught anything about creating a joyful, balanced life well-lived. Until now.
What’s keeping you from living your best life? If you are like most women in medicine, it’s just not something that we have had “permission” to talk about. In fact, it’s been exactly the opposite! Plus, who has the bandwidth? And we are here to help others. Isn’t it selfish to think of ourselves?
So many doctors tell me
And then the floodgates open.
I get it. And, if this is you, you are not alone.
Other physicians tell me:
If this is YOU, I’m here to help.
I jumped right into studying and then work. And it was a blast! I’ve been caring for patients my entire adult life. I’m smart and love helping others. I never really thought about doing it in a way that supported by own well-being. Until I felt utterly spent.
Fast forward to today…
I’m a practicing pediatrician, Director of the Institute for Physician Wellness, mom to two teens and feel empowered to decide how I spend my time and talents. I cannot control all the circumstances in life but I can 100% decide how I show up for it all. And I design my life in alignment with my values, interests and priorities at this stage.
None of this would be possible without the mindset skills and knowledge I have learned over the decades.
It is my great joy to support other women physicians so that they can LOVE their lives, too. In and outside of Medicine.
I have put together a proven framework so that you can quit struggling and start feeling better right away. She Thrives, MD gives you easy access to classes, individual and group coaching, and a wonderful community of physicians so that you can make changes that bring results fast.
She Thrives, MD is for every woman physician who is serious about making changes in their life to feel better.
She Thrives, MD is a good fit for you if:
What else is possible?
How would it feel to live in full alignment with what matters most to you at this stage of your life?
If you’re a woman in medicine who has been juggling it all for too long, with a tendency to prioritize everything and everyone else before yourself,
this is where you’ll learn the knowledge and mindset skills that will change everything.

Who am I?
Like you, I wear a lot of hats and know what it is like to have a lot going on. You will find I have a very grounded approach, blending teachings from my broad background.
In 2016, I founded The Institute for Physician Wellness to bring women physicians together to learn, heal, grow and connect. Since then, my team and I have supported thousands of physicians across the US and Canada on their path to well-being.
My first career was in Physical Therapy, which I practiced for 13 years prior to entering Medicine. My curious brain led me to graduate school in Philosophy where I found Ethics, Metaphysics and Moral Psychology particularly interesting. I have studied mind-body health and various mindfulness practices for over 30 years. Most recently, I have enjoyed mindfulness teacher training with leaders in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC).
I started medical school at age 35 and shortly thereafter became a mom to my two beautiful boys. I hope to keep practicing Pediatrics for a very long time.
My coach training includes the Cognitive-Behavioral Approach taught at the Life Coach School as well as training in a somatic, trauma-informed perspective through Coaches Rising. An embodied approach to coaching that takes into account our beliefs as well as our lived experiences makes the most sense to me.
In my free time, you may find me reading, hiking or on the water with friends and family.
