Cost: $550 before July 1, 2018, $650 after July 1.
**Retreat cost does not include accommodations. Miravel rates for this workshop: $409.00 per night, double occupancy and $509 per night, single occupancy + 23% resort fee and 15.05% tax. Rates include food and access to free activities and spa facilities.
CME Credits: Earn up to 8 hours AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
Program Times: Attendees are encouraged to arrive Friday morning, January 25. Program begins at noon with registration and lunch. The retreat ends at noon on Sunday, January 27.

Where is the retreat held?
Miraval is located north of Tucson, AZ on 400 scenic acres at the base of Arizona’s Santa Catalina Mountains.
How do I get to Miraval?
Most people fly through the Tucson or Phoenix airports.
Miraval is pleased to provide complimentary transportation to and from the Tucson International Airport for your unforgettable Tucson getaway. To ensure timely service, they need transportation information no less than 72 hours prior to your scheduled need. Guests arriving at the resort after 9:00 pm will receive a late night snack in their room; the perfect start to a truly enchanting Arizona getaway. For departure from Miraval, the last complimentary shuttle to leave for the airport is at 2 pm. Please note that late check-out service may be subject to additional transportation fees to the airport if shuttle service is not currently scheduled.
Miraval does not offer transportation from Phoenix airport to the resort. If you choose to book your air travel through Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, you may get a rental car and drive from Phoenix to Miraval. You can also plan to take a shuttle from the airport into Tucson. You can arrange your shuttle transfer with Arizona Shuttle for only $39 each way. The Arizona Shuttle will drop you off at the Twin Peaks and I-10 location where a Miraval van will pick you up and bring you to the resort. Who are the speakers?
Katrina Ubell, MD, FAAP
Dr.Ubell is a board certified pediatrician, as well as a certified life and weight loss coach. After 10 years in private pediatric practice, she left clinical medicine to help women physicians to not only permanently lose weight, but to change their thinking to create the lives they want.
Jane van Dis, MD, FACOG
Dr. van Dis is a board certified ObGyn and an expert in gender equity in the workplace. She is Co-Founder and CEO of Equity Quotient, a gender equity analytics tech company. Dr. van Dis is also an OB Hospitalist at OB Hospitalist Group (OBHG), and Medical Director for Business Development. She established the Working Group on Gender in the Physician Workplace, a national network which amasses data on gender-based disparities in healthcare and solutions to these disparities. She is an invited speaker at academic medical centers, conferences on gender equity and seminars on burnout and physician wellness.
Kathy Stepien, MD, FAAP
Dr. Stepien is a board-certified pediatrician in active practice. She holds a Master's degree in Philosophy and practiced physical therapy for 13 years prior to entering medicine. She draws on these broad experiences as she teaches physician wellness, self-compassion, and mindfulness in medicine. Dr. Stepien lectures internationally and has published research and essays in the medical literature as well as in the popular press.
What food will be provided?
Miraval provides daily gourmet meals, an unlimited fresh juice and smoothie bar, and freshly prepared snacks throughout the day. Special dietary requests can be made in advance directly with Miraval.
Dinner reservations can be made each morning during your stay at Miraval. It's important to plan ahead to schedule a dinner time that works best for you.
Can my family join me?
Miraval is an adult-only facility. All family/friends 18 and older are welcome to accompany you.
Will my cell phone work?
Yes! Internet access and access instructions are available upon arrival at Miraval.
Mindfulness is the core of the Miraval philosophy. In everything they do, they encourage guests to live in the present moment, conscious of the unique intersection of mind, body and spirit. In order to foster a tranquil environment for all guests, please understand and adhere to “Miraval Mode” during your retreat.
Miraval Mode: Cell phones at Miraval should be kept on silent at all times and that talking and texting is only permitted in the comfort of your guest room, private patio, the Fountain Courtyard (located just outside guest services) and the parking lot outside of Raindance Pass Boutique. We understand that you may want to use your cell phone camera to capture your Miraval experience throughout your stay – please do! We encourage you to share on social media in the comfort of your guest room in between activities or at the end of your day. Also, in consideration of those around you, please refrain from using electronic devices to take notes in lectures/workshops. Complimentary notepads and pens are provided for your convenience.

What is the cancellation policy for the Institute for Physician Wellness?
Refund Policy: Cancellations made 90 days prior to the event will be refunded the full registration amount minus a nonrefundable $100 processing fee. All cancellations made for any reason after that date are nonrefundable. No exceptions or transfers can be made.
The Institute for Physician Wellness, LLC reserves the right to cancel or postpone any event due to unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely evet of a cancellation or postponement, The Institute for Physician Wellness, LLC will refund the registration fee minus the nonrefundable $100 processing fee, but is not responsible for any other related costs or charges to the participant.
