Miraval offers a complimentary airport shuttle for both arriving and departing guests. For the complimentary pick-up from Tucson International Airport, please ensure that your full flight itinerary is provided at least 72 hours prior to your arrival. You will be met by your driver at the airline baggage claim for your flight. They will have a sign that says “Welcome to Miraval.”
Please wait patiently as they greet multiple flights at a time. The departure shuttles returning to the airport leave Miraval on the hour, as needed, until 2pm.
If you have transportation needs that do not align with these times or locations, Miraval can arrange a private car service for you. Please contact their transportation team at 800.815.3949.
The Retreat speakers are engaging, elite physician leaders and educators from across North America with years of experience in their area of expertise. We bring the best of the best to our Retreats.
Although the majority of participants are typically women, physicians of all genders are welcome at the Retreat.
The Retreat is designed for medical doctors (MD/DO or the international equivalent.) It is not open to nurses, PAs, or veterinarians.
The Winter retreat offers participants a small-group, intimate and transformative experience, featuring exclusive time with Dr. Kathy Stepien as the sole presenter.
In contrast, the Spring Retreat is designed as a larger gathering with speakers from around the country addressing a wide range of topics impacting physician well-being.
Every physician knows about dressing up for medical conferences. We do things differently here. Informal attire is entirely appropriate. We encourage physicians to dress comfortably to allow them to move between the classroom and other activities without difficulty.
The Retreat starts early morning on Sunday, April 21st and ends at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 23rd. We recommend arriving on Saturday, April 20th. If you are able, it’s always nice to extend your stay before or after the Retreat. Discounted room rates are available 2 days before and after by mentioning the IPW Physician Wellness Spring Retreat when you make your reservation.

The CME experience for this Physician Wellness Retreat is powered by CMEfy – a seamless way for busy clinician learners to discover Internet Point-of-Care Learning opportunities that reward CME credits & more. Learn more about CMEfy at about.cmefy.com/cme-info.
The credits are for reflections (which is powered by the ReflectCE activity, an enduring activity/point-of-care activity) – and they are indeed AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for MD/DO credentials (see here).
We can’t guarantee how departments reimburse for CME since each department’s policy is different. However, if there are problems, we’ve seen that combining the credits with the accompanying transcript can help. If you need IPW to also provide a letter on your behalf, we are happy to do that.
Claiming your CME is easy. After you register, check your email for important links that walk you through the steps.
