Physicians are naturally recognized and placed in leadership roles by healthcare team members. But these concepts are not formally taught in medical school, and not all physicians are innate leaders.

Formal Leadership training can equip all physicians with requisite skills that place them on a path to become more effective and successful leaders.1

The program fee includes:

  • Program lectures including insight from the latest research in the field and its application to real-life settings
  • Eight learning modules, including recommended reading and assignments
  • Live, facilitated, large group discussions
  • 24/7 access to the program portal with recordings, assignments, handouts, and more
  • A community of like-minded physicians developing leadership skills across the span of their careers

This immersion program will be held on zoom for one hour, twice per week for six weeks. In addition to formal didactic time, physicians should designate one to two hours per week on, average, for out-of-class activities such as working implementing and reviewing new strategies and skills. 

Tuesday:

5-7pm Pacific / 6-8pm Mountain / 7-9pm Central / 8-10pm Eastern

Saturday:
7-9am Pacific / 8-11am Mountain / 9-11am Central /10-12pm East

Recordings of program lectures are uploaded to the class portal within 24 hours to review at your convenience.

Continuing Education, Inc is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide education for physicians.

Refund Policy: Cancellations made 30 days prior to the program will be refunded the full registration amount minus a nonrefundable $250 processing fee. All cancellations made for any reason after that date are nonrefundable. No exceptions or transfers can be made.

The Institute for Physician Wellness, LLC reserves the right to cancel or postpone any program due to unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event of a cancellation or postponement, The Institute for Physician Wellness, LLC will refund the registration fee minus the nonrefundable $250 processing fee, but is not responsible for any other related costs or charges to the participant.

Alicia Kowalski, MD, is an international speaker and physician leader. She is a full-time, board-certified anesthesiologist in Houston, Texas and is the lead instructor of the Physician Leadership Program. Her warm and engaging teaching style creates an unparalleled learning environment for this premiere program.

Kathy Stepien, MD

Physician, Coach, Leader

Kathy Stepien, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician in active practice and the founding Director of the Institute for Physician Wellness. Her mission is to improve physician well-being at the personal level, the organizational level and within the larger culture of Medicine. Her favorite line? “This work matters!”

Dr. Stepien is available to meet during office hours throughout the duration of the program. This additional coaching and mentoring support helps to enhance knowledge and skill development for all students.
